Salazar Slytherin was one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Renowned for his cunning, ambition, and resourcefulness, Slytherin valued these traits in his students, leading to the formation of Slytherin House.
Slytherin distrusted Muggle-born wizards and witches, believing only those of pure magical ancestry should be taught magic. This prejudice ultimately led to conflict with the other founders.
Before leaving Hogwarts, Slytherin secretly constructed the Chamber of Secrets and placed a Basilisk inside, intending for his heir to unleash it and purge the school of those deemed unworthy.
